Bio for Jolene Jang

At the Twist and Shout Balloon Convention, people ask Jolene Jang, what she does and how she does it, since she is barely caught seen twisting balloons. What’s different about her business and the talented entertainers at this show is she targets a market that has money and knows how to talk their language. With her established brand, she looks, acts and is credible. Jolene knows what her clients value and how to deliver it.

Her Fun Specialist business targeted (1996-2009) Fortune 500 companies for the corporate receptions, but she moved into the daytime meetings. Jolene’s service promised to bring teams together at the meeting, so they can communicate more effectively. Did she use balloons? Yes, she did. But she did not sell balloons. It’s all about positioning. Out of the entertainers, who charges the most? Wouldn’t you want to be lumped into that group or better? Or maybe, you want to be in a different category all together? Look all the professions with a microphone in their hand and think of which profession commands the most money even if they are not in the top dog in their field. Jolene has made these decisions to accelerate her status in the market and to increase her rates.

She began her business in 1996, probably just like you learning to make balloons and tell jokes. Her path turned when she discovered children don’t need any more attention, but adults do. Her plan was to work in an office and wear a suit. How funny? Who do you know now would choose to do this?

Jolene is your typical, everyday, Japanese, Chinese, Swedish, balloon twisting Fun Specialist from Seattle. Clients call her the Fun Specialist, but her company is The Meeting Maximizer (2009). She helps companies produce effective meetings. Her clients include Starbucks, Goldman Sachs, State Farm, Hewlett Packard and Microsoft.
From her experience marketing her company and others, she now helps small businesses get into better paying markets by positioning their company. She calls it “Maximizing Return On Image.” The concept is everything looks, feels, and radiates your company style, even when you are not there. Her service set her clients apart from all the average people.

Jolene is involved in her industry and her community. She is the 2nd term president of the Washington chapter of the National Speakers Association and a founding board member for the International Special Events Society of the Northwest.
In her spare time, she participates in survival camp, welding, Seattle Citizen’s Police Academy, and has been known to play on a men’s soccer league.
